Rainbet baccarat: three bets and a fixed draw

What is Rainbet baccarat?

Rainbet baccarat is the set of baccarat tables on rainbet.com. Two hands are dealt, called Player and Banker, and you bet on which one finishes closer to nine, or on a tie. You don't make any decisions after the bet is placed.

Which baccarat tables does Rainbet have?

There's no baccarat among the Rainbet Originals, so no version of the game is provably fair. Live tables rest on the studio's audited operations and software tables on the provider's certified RNG.

What are the three baccarat bets?

• Banker wins slightly more often than Player. Many tables take a commission on Banker wins to balance that.
• Player pays even money with no commission.
• Tie pays a much larger multiple and lands far less often. It carries the highest house edge of the three.

The exact payouts and any commission are printed on each table. Read them there, since a no-commission table changes other payouts to make up for it.

How is a round dealt?

1. You place a stake on Banker, Player or Tie.
2. Two cards go to each hand. Tens and face cards count as zero, and only the last digit of a total counts.
3. A third card is drawn for either hand when the fixed rules call for it.
4. The hand closer to nine wins, and winning bets are paid to your balance.

The third-card rule looks complicated on paper. You never have to apply it yourself, because the dealer or the software does it the same way every round.

Why does baccarat move so quickly?

Baccarat is fast because nobody has a decision to make once bets close. A live round takes well under a minute, and a speed table is quicker still. That means more rounds per hour than blackjack at the same stake, so a balance is exposed to the house edge more often.

Set the number of rounds or a spending limit before you start. Speed is the thing that catches baccarat players out, not the rules.

Do roadmaps and patterns help?

No. The scoreboards beside a baccarat table record past results, and they don't predict the next one. Each round is dealt from the shoe by rule, and a streak on the board isn't a signal.

How are baccarat cards counted?

Baccarat hands are scored from zero to nine. Only the last digit of a total counts, so a seven and an eight make five, not fifteen.

A first two-card total of eight or nine is called a natural. When either hand has one, no more cards are drawn and the round ends there.

How do you pick a baccarat table?

1. Choose live for atmosphere, or software to learn at your own speed.
2. Check the minimum stake against your budget.
3. Read the payout on Banker and whether a commission applies.
4. Decide how many rounds you'll play before you sit down.

Side bets at baccarat tables

Some tables add side bets, such as a bet on a pair in the first two cards. Side bets pay more and win less often than the main three. Their paytables sit on the table's rules panel.

Can you play Rainbet baccarat for free?

Yes, on software tables. Most casino games at Rainbet have a demo mode with play money. Rainbet live casino explains what to check at a streamed table.

Is baccarat a game of skill?

No. Baccarat is a game of chance from the moment the bet is placed. The cards are drawn by rule, and nothing you do changes them. Your only choices are which of the three bets to make, how much to stake and when to stop. Choosing Banker or Player over Tie keeps the house edge low, and that's as far as strategy goes.
