Rainbet Hilo: higher or lower, card by card
Rainbet Hilo is an in-house card game. A card is shown and you call whether the next one will be higher or lower, with the chance and the multiplier for each call printed on screen.
What is Rainbet Hilo?
Rainbet Hilo is one of the Rainbet Originals. In Hilo games generally, every right call raises the payout and one wrong call ends the run.

How do the odds work?
The odds change with every card, and the game prints them on the buttons. With a 9 showing, the game page displayed Lower or Same at 69.23% for x1.39 and Higher or Same at 38.46% for x2.50. The likely call pays less, and the unlikely one pays more.
Both calls include Same, which is why the two chances add up to more than 100%. A matching card wins for either side.
How does a Hilo run generally play out?
- Set a stake and start. The first card is dealt.
- Call Higher or Same, or Lower or Same. A Skip Card button is shown as well.
- A correct call multiplies your running payout by the figure on the button.
- Cash out when you like, or call again. A wrong call ends the run.
Which cards are the hardest?
Middle cards are the hardest, since neither call is a clear favourite. An Ace or a King makes one direction almost certain, and the game pays very little for it. Runs built on easy calls grow slowly for that reason.
What is Skip Card for?
Skip Card is a button on the Hilo page, shown with the two calls. The game's own rules explain what a skip does in a run, so read them before you rely on it.
When should you stop?
Set a target before the first card. Late in a run the payout is large and every new call risks all of it. A number chosen in advance, such as four correct calls, is easier to stick to than a decision made mid-run.
How do you verify a Hilo round?
The cards come from your client seed, a hashed server seed and a nonce, so the order is fixed before you call. Rotate the seed pair and check the bet from your Bets list. Rainbet provably fair sets out the steps.
